June 2022 Money Review
June has simultaneously felt like both the longest and the shortest month ever. I cannot get my head around the fact that we are already half way through 2022, how is that even possible!! What is a money review? It is where I share reflections on my finances from the previous month, and detail every penny in and out. I find doing this at least monthly is a good way to stay connected to your…

Wowcher Mystery Holiday – How Much It Actually Cost!
Back in January 2020, yes a lifetime ago, my mum and I embarked on a Wowcher Mystery Holiday. I paid for the holiday the previous August as a birthday gift for my mum. We finally got the call in September telling us where we were going and the dates. Incredibly by chance, we got assigned Venice, a place which had been at the top of my mum’s bucket list for decades and we were travelling the weekend before her birthday 😱. It couldn’t have worked out better!! I wrote a full review back in 2020, weighing up whether it is actually worth it for the £99 price point. To follow…

What To Do When You Go Over Budget
Budgeting is basically the fancy term for making a plan for your money. There are many different methods out there but remember budgeting is not a one-size fits all – what works for me will not work for you. Everyone is in a different situation, we all have different goals, different priorities and live in different areas. For example, someone living in London will have to spend more on the essentials than me, a student living in the North West. Therefore, take inspiring from how other people budget and then adapt it to your situation and make it your own. The first time you budget your money you will probably…

9 Cupboard Staples Everyone Should Always Have In
One of the ways that I helps me keep my food shop budget so low (£10 a week) is by making sure I always have these 9 staples in my cupboard. They are all very versatile and are often the key ingredient to my favourite cheap meals. These items tend to last a long time so having to replace them is rare. Plus it is even rarer that multiple of them will run out at the same time so if I have to replace them it won’t break my £10 budget. #1 Oil Kinda obvious but often overlooked as it seems like a given, but have you seen the price…

How I Made £16,446 from Side Hustles
There is only so much you can reduce and cut from your budget! Eventually you will reach a certain point where to save more you need to make more. Entering the side hustle!! What is a side hustle? There are many different definitions out there but I class a “side hustle” as anything I do to make money beyond my primary source of income. Currently, my primary source of income is my student maintenance loan, paid to me by the UK government to cover all living costs. I started on my side hustle journey exactly 2 years ago, which was just after I had been made redundant from my job…

April Money Round Up
New month means it’s time to reflect on last month’s spending and earnings! Like all of my monthly money round ups – I will go through every penny out and in of my accounts this month. As well as my net worth progress – spoiler this was a BIG month for my net worth 🤩 Why do I share this? I know it might seem weird to share this on the internet but I truly believe in creating the type of content that I love and I am currently obsessed with seeing what people spend and earn. I also believe that the best way to break the money taboo is…
