iShopForIpsos – How To Get Paid To Order Booze

If you are aged 18-24.5, live in the UK and have a place where you can receive parcels – this is the side hustle for you! I’ve literally made hundreds in profit and got a tonne of free alcohol from using iShopForIpsos over the past year. Not bad considering I’ve spent most of the last year abroad and couldn’t do it regularly.

Massive shoutout to @thesolosaver on instagram who sent this opportunity my way last year!

What is this magical opportunity you are talking about?

iShopForIpsos is a mystery shopping site that among other tasks, is currently offering at home mystery shops for Amazon. There is an age requirement as these studies are specifically looking at the ID verification process when you order items that have an age limit – like vapes, alcohol and knives. But if you are a UK resident aged 18-24.5 and your postcode is one they’re after, you are missing out on a very easy side hustle if you’re not already doing these.

I almost exclusively use it to order alcohol as I don’t vape or have a great need for more knives. So I have deemed this the side hustle that pays me to order booze. Dream opportunity 🙂

How does it work?

The process is surprisingly easy and doesn’t even require you to leave your house. One of my favourite things about it! Let’s break down the process…

Find & apply for the mystery shop

If you are not already an iShopforIpsos member, you’ll first need to create an account.

Once you have an account, login and go to the “Task Board” and find a task listed “Amazon Retail Home Delivery”. Make sure the delivery postcode matches yours. Click through to the details page and apply to the task by choosing a date you can complete the task on and entering your postcode in the comments box. Once you click apply, you’ll know if you’ve either been approved instantly or the application has gone to review.

If you’ve been instantly approved, you can get started on the next step. If your application has gone to review, you’ll have to wait for it to be approved or declined before you can do anything else.

Can’t find a task for your postcode but meet the requirements? Drop them an email to see if they can manually assign you a task!

Order the item off Amazon

Once your task gets approved it’s time to actually order the item off Amazon. You need to decide which approach you want to take towards this opportunity. Are you looking to make as much profit as possible or are you looking to bag some freebies? If you’re in the first camp (me too 😜) you’ll want to filter the items by price to ensure you buy the cheapest qualifying item. Making the most profit! If you are in the second camp, look at how much the reward is (currently £30) and buy something you actually want or need (eg. a gift you were already going to buy) that meets the age verification requirement and is under or equal to the reward amount.

Check that the delivery date matches the date you put down on iShop. If it doesn’t, don’t worry you can easily change the date on iShopForIpsos by clicking “reschedule” on your task page.

Accept the delivery

Kinda a key step. Make sure you are home to accept the delivery so you can answer all the questions on the next step. Top tip, have your ID handy and ready to go.

Fill in the form

You have to fill in the iShopForIpsos post-mystery shop form within three hours of accepting the delivery. Else you risk the submission being rejected and then you’ve just spent money unnecessarily. I’d suggest filling it in as soon as you close the door and make sure you take a photo of the parcel before you open it as they will ask for this. At the end of the form, click “save survey” then make sure you actually submit it on the task page.

Enjoy the free booze and extra cash!!

Once the form is filled in and submitted, you’re done! Keep an eye out for any feedback emails as occasionally the form will get pinged back because they want you to clarify something. But other than that, you’ve just successfully been paid to order alcohol off Amazon! Payments can take anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks to be processed, it completely depends on when you complete the task and when the payment gets approved on their end. You can track the payments within your iShop account to see a payment estimate.

And Repeat

Currently you can do one of these mystery shops every 10 days. That’s a lot of opportunities to get paid to order booze. If you time it perfectly you could complete 3 in one calendar month but from my experience it’s hard to get approved for more than 2 each month. Plus if you have more than one postcode where you can accept deliveries you can complete these tasks even more times in a month. You just have to email them to get your second postcode approved to complete tasks.

And that’s it! A really easy side hustle that take a combined 10-15 minutes to complete each time. Not a bad ROI!

What a cool side hustle, right!! Are you already using iShopForIpsos? Have you done one of these offers before?
