Day One Halloween Hustle Challenge: £45 from Swagbucks UK
Who’s excited for this new challenge! I AM! And spoiler alert – I started strong on Day One by making more than my £31 goal 🎉 Let’s break it down…

What is the Halloween Hustle Challenge?
Before we get into how much I made on Day One, let me first recap what exactly the Halloween Hustle Challenge is. I’m a little behind on my 2025 side hustle goals so need a boost and as a goal motivated person, a side hustle challenge was the best solution. Enter my Halloween Hustle Challenge.
I am challenging myself to make £31 every day in the month of October so for 31 days straight. This works out to £961 but I’m secretly hoping I will smash this goal and make more.
The plan is to make £31 a day from easy online side hustles like surveys, market research, playing games and get-paid-to offers. I will be sharing daily updates to stay accountable and maybe inspire you to join in and make a little extra money before Halloween.
Ok now we are all caught up, let’s get into my Day One recap.
Day One = £45.13
I made £45.13 on Day One of my Halloween Hustle Challenge which is a brilliant start! And even better it all came from one get-paid-to offer which took maybe an hour of my time to complete. Side hustle win.
I LOVE get-paid-to (GPT) sites and they were the first online side hustle I started dabbling in back in 2020. GPT offers or online tasks as I’ve sometimes referred to them are essentially when you get rewarded (paid) or completing a task online. This could anything but often looks like taking out a free trial, playing online bingo, opening a new bank account or joining a new survey site. The options are genuinely endless and often very random.
So which offer did I complete on Day One?
I went onto Swagbucks UK (one of my OG side hustle sites) to check the status of another GPT offer I completed last month and started browsing the discover offers. Upon seeing this offer, I thought it was worth the punt.

StrikeWild was offering 500SB (~£3.67) for new customers who signed up and completed at least 2 offers through the site. I’m always on the look out for these types of gambling/slots/bingo offers as they are typically very high paying and don’t take a lot of time to complete.

I followed the link on Swagbucks, created an account and then started looking through the offers to pick the best two. I’m not new to the world of online side hustles and since I already have accounts with a lot of the bookies StrikeWild were recommending I couldn’t take advantage of a lot of the offers. This narrowed down my choices, but I still had a few to pick from.
The first offer… SkyVegas

The first offer I chose was one from SkyVegas. Mostly because it was claiming 70 free spins with no deposit or wagering – win! I followed through the link, created an account and then claimed my 70 free spins.
However, the offer I got when I signed up had two parts to it. Yes you got 70 free spins for just signing up BUT if you deposited and spent £10 you could claim another 200 free spins. With this in mind, I played through the 70 free spins.

From these 70 free spins I actually won £6.29 without depositing a penny. That plus the £3.67 that I would be getting from Swagbucks put me at £9.96 up. And this is where I took a slight gamble. But it was an educated one.
The second half of the offer was to deposit and play through £10 to get 200 extra free spins. Obviously it would be possible to loose the entire £10 and make nothing from the free spins but for 4p I thought it was worth the punt.
4p at risk…
So I deposited £10 and played through the funds. Now, if you complete this offer don’t be an idiot like me and forget to activate the second part of the offer. But I’ll get onto that in a moment.
For now the £10 of actual cash. But remember I’m already up £9.96 without any money down so in my mind I’m only risking 4p of my own money.
I picked a slot game and played through the £10 and obviously none of the wins can be replicated or guaranteed so if you do complete this offer, make sure you are playing safe. Lady luck was on my side for this challenge and on my second 50p spin I made £31.25 which launched me into the green for this offer and actually hit my daily target.
But I needed to complete the entire offer so I kept playing and after spending the £10 required I cashed out £31.74. Bringing the rolling profit for this offer to £31.70 so far.
The second offer… Double Bubble Bingo

I couldn’t find my 200 free spins so I assumed they needed time to confirmed. In the meantime I went back onto StrikeWild to find offer number two so I’d get my 500SB. This offer from Double Bubble Bingo came up and the “keep what you win” sold it to me.
Always read the T&Cs on these offers before proceeding and in this case I saw I had to deposit £10 to get the 50 free spins but could withdraw any earnings made. Perfect.
I’m currently up £31.70 on this offer so £10 felt like a reasonable gamble and even if I lost it all (100% possible) I’d still be in the green.
I clicked through, signed up and deposited the £10. You needed to play through the £10 first before getting the 50 free spins so I did just that.

This is obviously gambling so chances are you won’t be a winner. In this case I started with £10 and as you can see from the screenshot of my last spin, after spending £10 I had a balance of £6.90 so I’d lost £3.10.
This brought my rolling profit down a little bit to £28.60 but it did trigger the 50 free spins.

After all 50 free spins had been played, I had a balance of £11.92. Meaning I was just in the green for this offer and added £1.92 to the total profit. I withdrew the entire balance straight away.
Back to SkyVegas & a rookie error
After withdrawing from Double Bubble I went back onto SkyVegas to see if the free spins were there and realised I’d made a rookie error. I hadn’t activated the second part of the offer as I thought it was automatically activated like with the original 70 free spins.
Nope, I was wrong. So technically the £10 I’d deposited and played through didn’t actually count. Annoying. But I still needed to complete the offer for my 500SBs so I activated it correctly, deposited another £10 and played through the funds.
This was still a smart risk as like with the Double Bubble offer, even if I lost the entire £10 I would still be in the green for the offer overall.

I played through the entire £10 and ended with a balance of £8.55 so I lost £1.45. But the 200 spins activated almost instantly so I started playing through them.
From 200 spins I wanted to win just £1.45 which is very possible. And is exactly what happened. In the end from the 200 free spins, I won £12.95, bringing my balance to £21.50 – £11.50 in profit.

The final figures
Right, let’s add it all up.
I gained 500SB from completing the offer through Swagbucks which is about £3.67 when exchanged. I had to spend £30 completing the offers but withdrew £71.46 from both sites. This brings my total profit to £45.13 for this offer.
Smashing my £31 daily target and is a great start to my Halloween Hustle Challenge.
Other things to note from Day One
Once I’d completed this offer, I was done for the day so didn’t log into any survey sites but I did google current bank switch offers to see if I was eligible for any. And I was so I jumped straight on it. I’m eligible for the Co-Op switch offer which would bring in £100 for this challenge and then an extra £75 over the next three months.
Although I have started this offer and the account has been approved, I haven’t completed the steps required to get the £100 bonus so I won’t be counting that towards my challenge goal until all steps are completed.
Challenge Update
With this only being day one of the challenge, I’m sure you can figure out the rolling total but I’ll track it anyway.
Day One = £45.13
Halloween Hustle Total = £45.13
The challenge is off to a great start and I’m excited for what the rest of the month has in store. See you tomorrow for my Day Two update!
