Stride: Get Free Uber Eats or Ubers By Answering Surveys

There’s a new kid on the survey block – Stride! You can earn your way to free Uber Eats or Uber rides by downloading the app and answering surveys.

Disclaimer – this post contains referral links which means I may make a small commission if you click through the link and sign up. This comes at no extra cost to you (you’ll actually make money!) and helps support the site. Thanks so much <3

Earn free Uber Eats or Uber rides with this new survey app!

I’ve been using this app for a couple weeks and I think it’s going to be a great addition to my side hustle app roster. So far I’ve redeemed £41 in vouchers off the app. (Disclaimer – this was a combination of survey earnings and referrals!)

If you want to test out this app for yourself use this link to sign up (or enter the code JARZW) to get a £1 bonus when you answer the welcome surveys. Between the two you’ll earn £2.50 in minutes which can be redeemed immediately.

It’s actually so funny how I found out about this app and super random but I’m glad it happened. I was answering surveys on Prolific when I was offered one to evaluate a new survey app. I didn’t think anything of it until they declared the app was actually real at the end of the survey and offered a bonus code if you joined.

So like the nosey side hustler I am, I just had to give it a go! So how does this new app work?

How does it work?

Stride is a very easy to use survey app! You simply need to download the app from the app store, fill in the sign up details, answer the welcome surveys and then you are good to go.

This is the app!

Surveys show up on the homepage and include the topic, payment amount and estimated time to complete. Once you have completed a survey, you will be redirected to the homepage where you will see your balance has increased and see if you have anymore surveys available.

How do I redeem my reward?

Redeeming your balance is very easy! On the homepage you will find a redeem box where you enter the amount you wish to redeem and select either Uber or UberEats as your reward.

You can then immediately claim the voucher and have it applied to your Uber app. The process takes less than a minute.

Pros of Stride

Let’s breakdown the pros of Stride…

+ No Screening Out

Touch wood, but so far I haven’t been screened out of a single survey on Stride. This is practically unheard of in the survey world and brings this app on par with the best of the best, Prolific.

There is a limited amount of surveys but they do seem to be adding new ones regularly. Since downloading the app last week, I’ve answered a total of 25 surveys and made £13.10 total from them.

Example of the types of surveys available on Stride.

Most of the surveys on Stride take a few minutes maximum and pay within the 30-50p region. So you’ll never get rich from this app but you could pay for a couple Ubers very easily.

+ Easy Interface

Some survey apps on the market are super glitchy and it just ruins the whole experience. But not this one. Stride has a very simple and easy to use interface.

The surveys are all hosted on the app so no bouncing around through different tabs, hoping that the survey will track correctly.

+ Low Cash Out Minimum

From what I can tell, the cash out minimum on Stride is only £1 which is super low compared to other survey apps/websites. However, you can’t withdraw cash on this app. You rack up a cash balance that you can only redeem as either Uber or UberEats vouchers.

The vouchers are available immediately after clicking redeem and are super easy to add to your Uber balance through the app. The process takes less than a minute and the credit is ready to use in the Uber app.

My biggest tip with answering surveys is to cash out your balance as soon as possible. It is not uncommon for survey apps or websites to disappear overnight, taking your hard earned rewards with them.

Plus you never know when the reward system will change and this could reduce your payout. Like the Swagbucks changes last year that mean each SB is now only worth 0.8p instead of 1p. That’s like a 20% decrease in earnings.

Bottom line, cashing out as soon as you can is the way to go with survey sites. And having a low minimum threshold like Stride is perfect.

Plus if you sign up to Stride using this link you’ll get a £1 welcome bonus when you answer the introductory surveys. The bonus plus the required surveys will give you a £2.50 total balance which you can immediately withdraw as either Uber or UberEats credit.

+ Bonus Offers

Not only do you earn a cash balance for answering surveys, you can also earn “Strides” by completing mini challenges. Eg. complete 5 surveys for 400 strides.

These strides can then be redeemed in the form of a discount or money off coupon. Check out the discounts currently on offer.

These are exciting because FlixBus is my go to transport option when I’m travelling on a budget. Check out my full FlixBus review here.

Cons of Stride

Like with everything, there is going to be some cons. Let’s breakdown the ones I’ve come across using Stride for the past couple of weeks…

– Limited Surveys

The surveys are not unlimited on Stride. When I first signed up, there was a dozen or so listed on the app and I went around an hour working my way through them.

After that I got nothing for a few days and then get 1 or 2 every time I log in and check the app. Each paying only 30 to 50p but with a low minimum threshold, it only takes a couple of these before I can redeem another voucher.

– No Cash Alternative

My biggest bug bear with Stride is that there is no cash alternative. You can only redeem your balance as an Uber or UberEats voucher. This is very limiting and usually I would much rather have the cash so I can use the earnings how ever I want.

The vouchers redeemed through Stride are valid for 1 year!

But it is sometimes nice to collect a few vouchers so I can treat myself with no guilt. I’ve actually considered a voucher challenge, where I try and earn a range of vouchers throughout the year and then attempt to spend a month living off just vouchers.

Maybe I’ll use the vouchers redeemed off Stride as the starting point of this challenge. If you’ve ever done something like this let me know and I’d love to hear any tips you have.

So there you go, another potential survey app to add to your routine! This one will be particularly good if you use Uber or UberEats often and are looking for an easy way to reduce that cost. If you want to give this one a go, don’t forget to use this link (or enter code JARZW) to get a £1 bonus when you sign up!

Have you tried Stride yet? What are your thoughts? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
