Day Two Halloween Hustle Challenge: Getting Paid £31.01 to Take Surveys
Day two of my Halloween Hustle challenge is complete and I hit my £31 goal… just! Today was more of a classic side hustle day than yesterday and I stacked 8 different sites to hit my £31 goal. Let’s break it down…

What is the Halloween Hustle Challenge?
Before we get into how much I made on Day Two, let me first recap what exactly the Halloween Hustle Challenge is. I’m a little behind on my 2025 side hustle goals so need a boost and as a goal motivated person, a side hustle challenge was the best solution. Enter my Halloween Hustle Challenge.
I am challenging myself to make £31 every day in the month of October so for 31 days straight. This works out to £961 but I’m secretly hoping I will smash this goal and make more.
The plan is to make £31 a day from easy online side hustles like surveys, market research, playing games and get-paid-to offers. I will be sharing daily updates to stay accountable and maybe inspire you to join in and make a little extra money before Halloween.
Ok now we are all caught up, let’s get into my Day Two recap.
Day Two = £31.01
I just hit my £31 target on day two and it took much longer than on day one. Day Two was more of a classic online side hustle day as I found myself dipping in and out of various survey sites over the day to inch closer and closer to my target.
In the end I made £31.01 from 8 different sites/apps, let’s break it down from smallest to largest amount…
Survey Pop = 10p
I was just over £1 away from my £31 goal late last night and didn’t want to give up so logged back into three sibling survey apps that I’ve used on and off for the past few years. Survey Pop, Survey Spin and Eureka are all run by the same company so often feature the exact same surveys and offers.
Survey Pop was the last one I logged into and I made 10p from their daily poll and a few of the video bonuses. This is where you get paid pennies to watch quick ads.
Survey Spin = 27p
I made a little bit more on Survey Spin because I answered one survey too for 12p. With this, the daily poll and a few more video bonuses I made 27p on the app.
Swagbucks = 32p
One of my current favourite side hustle sites, Swagbucks has been good to me over the past few months. I logged in again on day two to see if any more offers jumped out. There are a few I think I want to tackle during this challenge but on day two I just did the daily poll, some profile updates and a few of the Tapjoy discover offers.

I made 44SB (~32p) from stacking these quick offers. I like doing these little offers as often the bigger ones are just short of a cash out minimum so they bridge the gap.
Eureka = £1.27
I was a little hesitant to log back into Eureka as I am still waiting for a cash out I requested back in May. This does make me a little nervous but I’ve never had a problem in the past and since I was just short of my daily goal I took the punt.
I answered the daily poll for a quick win and then hit the video bonus jackpot, making £1.26 from a bunch. Hopefully I can finally get through to a member of their support team to get my cash out but that’s one of the problems with these types of side hustle app/sites is that sometimes they can disappear overnight with your money.
Branded Surveys = £2.85
I logged back into one of my original favourites, Branded Surveys to see if they had any good offers. Branded Surveys used to just be surveys but in recent years they’ve added game and discover offers too. On day two, I answered the daily poll and two profile surveys to make 60 points (~45p) and then saw a good boosted discover offer to complete.

The offer was to spend £1 at LottoSocial and get 460 points back which is about £3.40. Plus the £1 spend was for 10 EuroMillions tickets. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if I won the £14million jackpot from this challenge!? I’d settle for a Millionaire Maker win 🙂
This offer tracked immediately and I’ve already requested the withdrawal so should have the funds back in the next couple of days. Keep your fingers crossed for me, the draw is on day three of the challenge so I’ll be sure to update you.
Prolific = £3.60
My FAVOURITE survey app of all times! But today was not the day for Prolific. All the surveys I was being offered weren’t a good fit so I only made £3.60 but it gets me closer to my goal.

Since joining back in 2020, I’ve cashed out over £1100 from Prolific making it my most lucrative survey site. There is currently a waitlist for new accounts but it’s worth joining as it really is the best survey site out there.
Five Surveys = £7
Now Five Surveys is a newer survey site to me and one I made an account on for my last side hustle challenge. The premise is super simple, answer 5 survey get £5. Easy right!
Well yes in principle that’s great, but like with most survey sites the screen out amount is high and the surveys were long and annoying. So when I originally signed up I finished two surveys and then ditched it. As part of this challenge, I wanted that £5 so yesterday I committed to finishing 3 more surveys to cash out.

It took a while but I did manage to hit 5 finished surveys and got my fiver. Plus I completed another 2 which I’m counting as £2 earned. I’ll probably commit another session to getting a second fiver out of the site and then leave this one on the back burner.
They do have a sister site called Top Surveys that’s been on my list to try for a while so let me know if you’ve tried it and whether it’s worth it.
YouGov = £15.60
Well, day two really did see me resurrect all the old favourites. YouGov was another of my OG hustle sites and I stopped using it after they got rid of YouGov Finance. But it’s back! Kinda.
They’ve replaced the old scheme with YouGov Connections where you connect your data in return for a reward. Which is essentially the same thing but the rewards are lower this time.

You used to be able to connect up to 10 bank accounts in return for £5 per account connected. And you could reconnect every 90 days. So essentially you could make £50 every 90 days from this one scheme. An easy £200 a year for minutes of effort. Now can you see why I was so upset they got rid of it.
This new version only let’s you add 3 accounts and in return you get 5p a day. With all three that’s 15p a day and you commit to 90 days so £4.50 total value. I connected the maximum of 3 accounts which will bring in £13.50. As the cash out threshold is so high on YouGov at £50, I’m counting this entire £13.50 towards my challenge total as I will more than likely be withdrawing it at the same time.
Whilst on the site, I also reconnected my Netflix, Amazon and search history to earn another 60p. Plus I answered a couple of surveys too. My total earnings from all of this was £15.60.
The Final Figures
From these 8 different apps/sites I made a total of £31.01 on day two of my Halloween Hustle Challenge. This was a more quintessential side hustle day than yesterday as you’re often fighting for a few pennies but they really do add up.
Challenge Update
So far I’m 2 for 2 on hitting my daily target so super happy! I’m hoping to get a good head start as next week is super busy with work so I won’t have much time to side hustle.
Day One = £45.13
Day Two = £31.01
Halloween Hustle Total = £76.14
Started strong and may that continue! Have you been paid to take surveys before? Tried any of these sites before? Any new to you?
