Full Review of the Cheapest Capsule Hostel in NYC
KAMA Central Park is the cheapest capsule hostel in NYC and here’s my full review! The Location This hostel is in the perfect location for exploring NYC! It’s peaceful but also super close to all the tourist attractions via the subway. KAMA Central Park is located on West 106th Street, across the street from Central Park. It’s only 3 blocks away from the 103rd Street subway station which connects you to the rest of Manhattan and the other boroughs. It’s location next to the park is awesome for morning walks and there are rental bikes available just outside the front door. The Price I originally found this hostel when I…

HI NYC Hostel Review: One of the Cheapest Places to Stay in New York
Looking for somewhere affordable to stay in Manhattan? Keep reading for my HI NYC hostel Review! I came across the HI New York City when I was searching on Booking.com for accommodation for a weekend away in NYC. I immediately imagined the worse hostel but the photos didn’t look too bad and the location was fab so I booked it. And spoiler alert – it was actually a really nice hostel!…

Rather I am trying to go back at some point this year. Guatemala is known as the cheapest place to learn Spanish and in my experience this is not wrong! I paid $490 for a 2 week Spanish Immersion Program. This included housing, breakfast & dinner every day and…

48 Hours On A Train: Full Amtrak Empire Builder Review
No that title is not clickbait. I did once spend 48 hours on a train travelling from Chicago to Portland non-stop. This was during my gap year, where I spent three months following housesits around the USA. And you might be surprised but it actually ended up costing me more than it would have cost to fly! I couldn’t find a direct flight from Chicago to Portland so I started looking at other options. I was open to adding on a 1-night layover to see another city. Then I stumbled upon Amtrak’s long-distance train routes and committed to long journey. However, I only committed mentally and put off actually booking my ticket…

Flixbus Review: The Ultimate Budget Friendly Way To Travel
{Disclaimer – this post may contain affiliate links which means I might earn a commission if you follow a link and make a purchase. This comes at no extra cost to you.} Overnight buses are the ultimate budget travel hack and this is the hill I will die on. Not only do you get to a new place in a really cost effective (and better for the environment) way but you also save money on a night of accommodation. I love getting a last full day in a place and then waking up in a new place ready to go out and explore. If you can’t tell I’m a massive…
